Pony trekking
With over a dozen horse-ridding clubs and farms spread out over the department, the Gers is a favoured destination for horse-ridding lovers.

First producing department of Anglo-Arab horses in France, the Gers used to supply, in the old days, excellent horses to the hussars cavalry in Tarbes.

Nowadays, this breed is becoming popular again with numerous breeders thanks to its qualities for horse-racing, show-jumping, dressage and endurance.
