Our weakness for good food, our gastronomy, our art of entertaining and our way of living well are renowned.
Poultries, foie gras, confit, garbure (soup with cabbage and confit), garlic, melon, pastis gascon (traditional cake), wines with designation of origin (Saint Mont, Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Côtes de Gascogne, Côtes du Condomois, Floc de Gascogne and Armagnac its famous brandy) fill our tables.
All these ingredients are cooked by our chefs or in our farms. You will find them too in the numerous village markets as well as in our traditional ‘marchés au gras’ (markets dedicated to the sale of fattened ducks and geese).
